Activities
The new innovation network for Danish Sound Technology started on January 1st 2009. With a grand Kick-off event on May 26th in Jazzhouse the doors were opened for members. See the video here
The network is supported by a grant from the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, in total 22 million from 2009 to 2014. The funds covers the exspenses for having a secretariat, runing events as well as projects.
We also participate in European cluster cooperation and have taken part in a benchmarking exercise in 2011 within the European Cluster Excellence Initiative. This has led to a certificate of having undergone the first step in a process towards the final achievement of the future EU quality label for excellent cluster.
Among are activities are:
Knowledge Sharing
In time the website will act as a hub for the members, giving them the opportunities to retrieve and share information. On top of that the website contains various forums where different topics are open for discussions and members can interact. In the forums we don't differentiate between English and Danish. See the list of forums here
The secretariat will send out newsletters with lists of events and news and will also be hosting events relevant to the members. The secretariat has contact with relevant business partners that might be of service to the members.
As part of the network's goal, the secretariat explores different strategic areas that can improve the the conditions for the entire sound technology cluster. This includes among other thing, market and education development, and will be communicated to the members.
Your own knowledge and events are very welcome. We are very willing to put relevant events and news from members and partners on the website. Contact Rebecca Engberg at +45 4525 3411 or at reen

Matchmaking
The network's website will be expanded with more interactive features that will make it easier to find relevant partners.
It is already possible to ad key competencies to the profile information and thereby give others in the network the opportunity to contact you as you will have the opportunity to find others.
The network's other matchmaking activities are centered around the incubator, which is a screening function for submitting ideas or concepts that might not suit the Project Exchange (see below). The idea or concept will undergo an evaluation by a team of researchers, engineers, and innovation experts and be helped along in a relevant direction.
The secretariat will also host different matchmaking events.
Projects
The website contains a Project Exchange where members can send project ideas that upon approval by the secretariat and the advisory board will go through a round of qualifiction and development. The project will then be made visible to the other members who can join the project. The network has set aside 41% of its appropriation, or nearly 6 million kroner to support projects.
The projects in the Project Exchange are to be within the limits of technology and user-driven themes. They will be focused on general and generic development of knowledge, tests of concept types and technologies, etc. On top of these projects the secretariat will also undertake projects in various strategic areas such as education development.
