The steering Group is responsible for the overall framework under which the network operates and if necessary, they are in charge of changes in strategy. The members are chosen from among the participating organizations. Currently the Steering Group is made up by Jan Larsen (DTU), Søren Bech (Bang & Olufsen), Finn Kryger Nielsen (Brüel & Kjær SV), Kim Rishøj (TC Electronic), and Søren Holdt Jensen (Aalborg University).

Associate Professor Jan Larsen, Technical University of Denmark (President)
Jan Larsen is an associate professor and PhD. with more than 15 years of experience in the areas of signal processing and machine learning, disciplines used in multimedia technology among others.
He has extensive experience in both project managing and network coordination through participation in many national and international projects.
Director of Research, Søren Bech, Bang & Olufsen
B & O is in the business of developing and producing audio-visual equipment for the hi-end consumer marked. The company’s research and development is centered on the areas of multi-modal perception and digital sound technology in general.
Søren Bech heads a group working with descriptive analysis that enables a complete sensory description of a product including individual factors influence on the overall preference and/ or quality.
Along with a number of national and international collaborators SB has participated in the development of methods for quantification of sound quality. Many of these techniques were recently published in Bech & Zacharov "Perceptual Audio Evaluation - Theory, Method and Application," at Wiley.
Innovation manager, Finn Kryger Nielsen, Brüel & Kjær Sound and Vibration Measurements A/S
Finn Kryger Nielsen is educated as a Master of Science from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), 1983 and obtained a Master of Leadership and Innovation in Complex Systems fra Århus Universitet 2008.
Today, he is the manager of the innovation group in Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration Measurement A/S. In recent years, he has specialized within sound quality and sound engineering.
He has been a member of the Board and the Technical Committee of Sound Quality Research Unit (in cooperation with B&O, Delta and Aalborg University) at the acoustics section at Aalborg University.
As project manager, he was one of the driving forces in the introduction of the Brüel & Kjær PULSE Multi-channel Noise and Vibration Analysis System, which today is know as a world standard within noise & vibration analysis.
Finn Kryger Nielsen has been participating in numerous international research projects such as ACES, SILENCE®, FACE, CREDO, APPRAISE and EU-FIRE.
Professor Søren Holdt Jensen, Aalborg University
Søren Holdt Jensen has a degree as an engineer in telecommunications from Aalborg University (1988) and a Ph.D. in signal processing from the Technical University of Denmark (1995), DTU. He is currently Professor in signal processing and speech technology at the department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University.
Prior to his employment at Aalborg University he has worked in the Telecommunications Laboratory of the National Telecommunications Service Center, in the Electronic Department at the Technical University of Denmark, and in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. He has also had two short research employments at the Technishe Universiteit Delft in the Netherlands and in the Center National de la Recherche Scientifique in Sophia Antipolis, France.
