Innovation Project Exchange

Danish Sound Technology Network’s project exchange opens the possibility for market-driven and development-oriented project ideas that doesn't necessarily come from the universities or the GTS.

The objective is to strengthen the interaction between research and education institutions, commercial enterprices, artists, and professional users and to create new innovation by combining the available / existing research and technologies with creative uses to create new products, services or experiences. Or simply: to bring a good idea to practical use in the form of a product or a service.

Once a project proposal is submitted, it will be processed in the Secretariat where the potential and possibilities of the project will be determined in collaboration with the author. If the project is approved for maturation and implementation, it will be made visible on the website where other members can join the project.

A project in the maturation phase has been made concrete and has been joined by at least one university or GTS, whose work on the project is financed by the network. At least twoadditional private partners are required for the project to be approved for the implementation phase. The additional partners co-finance with the hours spend on the project. A member of the consortium takes on the role as coordinator in the project.

During the maturation phase meetings should be held and a project plan prepared for a possible peer review with the Steering Group and other experts. Afterwards the secretariat will conduct a consensus evaluation and the sign of the official project agreement - and the project can begin.

All members with an interest in participating in a project can be asked to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA). When entering a project of this type you will receive an NDA after the initial contact with the project coordinator. Only after signing and returning the NDA, is participation in the project allowed.

It is required in every project accepted for the maturation phase  that the participants  keep a record of the time spend on the project as it will be included as co-financing of the network.

We strive for broad projects preferably with more than three participants in order enhance the exploitation of project results. The projects should  be conducted at the so-called pre or non-competitive level which is sufficiently detached from current development projects in the private companies participating. The participants should therefore be prepared to accept that significant parts of the project results are going to be disseminated through the network.
