China & Denmark – Improving Sound Together

In the beginning of 2011 the Innovation Center Danmark, Shanghai and the Danish Sound Technology Network, together with the China Audio Industry Association launched a program of activities which now leads to the visit of a Danish delegation on 25th-29th September.

Massive Chinese investment and bet with the possibility of Danish influence - as well as orders and cooperation
The second Chinese delegation in just one year visited Denmark in June 2011 with the participation of 25 companies, representatives from the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology and from the Huadu district of Guangzhou. They visited among others Brüel & Kjaer, GRAS, DPA, Steinway Lyngdorf and met with a number of sound technology researchers and companies from different sectors.

During the visit the official state representatives revealed that Huadu / Guangzhou has been appointed national center for the development of the Chinese audio industry and that they wanted to use Danish expertise to build incubator, test center, research and education programs and also: to encourage Chinese enterprises to to establish R & D in Denmark, create business PhDs at Danish universities and more.
