In connection with the Chinese delegation's visit to Denmark on May 10, they visited DTU, in particular the two institutes, DTU Informatics and DTU Electrical Engineering.

The program included a tour, visits to laboratories and several presentations. Among them was Jan Larsen's, an Associate Professor at DTU Informatics. The talk was called:

Extracting meaning from audio signals - a machine learning and signal processing approach

Another talk was given by Torsten Dau, a Professor at the Centre for Applied Hearing Research (CAHR), under the headline:

Auditory signal processing in complex acoustic environments

The visit was rounded off in a festive manner with a joint signing of a "Memorandum of Understanding" by Jan Larsen, in his capacity as head of the Danish Sound Technology Network and Chen Lixin, who is Director of China Audio Industry Association.
